Visa Officer

Role Purpose

The Visa Processing Officer is responsible for handling visa applications efficiently while ensuring a seamless experience for applicants. The role involves day-to-day visa administration, compliance monitoring, issuance of short-term study visa letters, and ensuring adherence to Gedu Global Education policies. Candidates should have experience in visa processing, preferably for Europe (with a focus on Malta, Spain, France, Germany), USA, Dubai, the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end visa application processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Stay updated on immigration laws and regulations; always ensure strict compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the visa process.
• Prepare and issue short-term study visa letters to international students in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate visa-related records and generate regular reports.
• Identify opportunities to streamline visa procedures and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide an integrated admissions and visa service.
• Train and guide colleagues/stakeholders on visa-related procedures.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of immigration policy changes.
• Support the admissions team in delivering effective visa services.
• Understand and apply GEDU’s admissions and selection policies.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in visa application processing (Europe (with a focus on Malta, Spain, France, Germany), USA, Dubai, the UK)
• Strong knowledge of immigration rules and visa processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills & ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and visa application systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
