Role Overview

The Virtual Development Manager (VDM) will virtually coach and support newly recruited Agency Recruitment & Development Managers (ARDMs) during their critical onboarding period (first 120 days). The VDM plays a pivotal role in ensuring each ARDM achieves their expected sales and agent recruitment milestones by driving daily actions, accountability, and performance culture virtually.

  • Strong experience in life insurance sales or sales training.
  • Coaching & analysis skills-especially around sales processes, recruitment logic, and daily execution.
  • Ability to drive outcomes through virtual influence and structured follow-ups.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and performance tracking skills.
  • Ability to balance empathy with accountability.

Key Responsibilities

A.

  • Guide ARDMs to build, refine, and prioritize their prospecting/ networking efforts.
  • Coach ARDMs on product pitching, and handling objections with real-time meeting preparation.
  • Drive referral lead generation strategies from every prospect interaction.

B.

  • Help ARDMs build a pipeline of prospective agents from their natural market and networking.
  • Coach on approaching, evaluating, and on agent licensing progress.
  • Reinforce the importance of quality agent onboarding aligned with company standards.

C.

  • Ensure completion of all mandatory training modules and assessments.
  • Conduct daily checks on training progress and knowledge retention.
  • Offer real-time micro-coaching on sales, recruitment, and field interactions.

D.

  • Conduct

    structured daily calls

    with each ARDM as per expected sales & agent recruitment outputs.
  • Ability to analyze and track daily inputs and outcomes through performance dashboards.
  • Identify gaps and escalate key challenges to Branch Managers if needed.
  • Maintain detailed logs, observations, and weekly progress summaries.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum (Graduate); additional certifications in insurance or training are a plus.
  • 4-5 years of experience in life insurance sales, training, or agency management.
  • Prior role as an ARDM, Agency Manager, Branch Manager, or Sales Trainer preferred.
  • Fluent in Hindi and English &Telugu is must (regional language fluency is a plus- Tamil, Kannada)
