Position Name - Video Editor (On-Site)

Location - New Alipore, Kolkata

Shift Timing: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)


Pay Grade:

  • Mid-entry: 15-18K INR per month

  • Experienced: 20-22K INR per month


Job Summary

  • The Video Editor is responsible for creating visually engaging and impactful videos that align with the client's branding and business objectives. The person will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to deliver high-quality video content for advertising campaigns, social media, and other marketing materials.

Job Significance:

  • The Video Editor plays a vital role in the advertising department by working collaboratively with the creative team, overseeing the technical aspects of editing, and contributing to the success of campaigns through high-quality video content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Client Communication and Management:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and deliver video content that exceeds expectations.
  • Video Editing:

  • Edit video footage to create high-quality, visually engaging content that aligns with the client's branding. This includes adding effects, color grading, sound mixing, and transitions to ensure a seamless final product.
  • Creative Direction:

  • Offer creative input during the pre-production process to help guide visual storytelling, ensuring all content is aligned with the campaign’s objectives and audience expectations.
  • Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Work closely with the creative, social media, and marketing teams to ensure the video aligns with broader campaign goals. Mentor junior editors and contribute to their professional development.
  • Platform Management and Optimization:

  • Ensure that all video content is optimized for the platforms on which it will be displayed (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Google Ads, etc.), including adjusting formats, resolutions, and lengths as needed.
  • Deadline Adherence:

  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality in all video content produced.
  • Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing trends, techniques, and software to continuously improve content quality and ensure the agency’s output remains cutting-edge.

Quality Assurance

  • Consistent high-level accuracy is essential, as mistakes in video content can negatively impact client campaigns.

Qualification

Education:

  • Experience in Film and media.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects)
  • Strong understanding of video codecs, formats, and resolution management
  • Sound design and audio mixing skills
  • Ability to work with creative briefs and translate ideas into compelling video content
  • Familiarity with social media video formats and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills (especially well versed with English) and team collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Good to Have:


  • Experience with animation
  • Basic filming and production knowledge
  • Understanding of color grading and VFX
