• Reviewing raw footage to select the best clips for the project.
• Using editing software to cut, splice, and arrange video sequences.
• Adding graphics, transitions, and visual effects to enhance the footage.
• Incorporating sound, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, and ensuring audio is synchronized.
• Color correcting and grading the footage to improve visual quality.
• Collaborating with directors, producers, and other team members to align with project vision.
• Making revisions based on feedback from directors or clients.
• Ensuring the final video is free of technical errors.
• Managing final files and preparing them for distribution.

Skills and qualifications

• Proficiency with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong understanding of video production principles, storytelling, and narrative flow.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with graphic design principles and motion graphics is often a plus.
