Job Description :

In the video editor role, you will arrange, assemble, and process dozens of recorded and stock video clips into a seamless whole. You will work closely with the production and marketing teams to ensure alignment with project goals. It is critical that you adhere to established guidelines to effectively convey your message. Success in this role will be demonstrated by producing dynamic, entertaining, and audience-appropriate videos to expand market reach and increase viewer engagement.

Video Editor Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Edits videos to targeted length and specifications
• Handles and organizes raw and edited video files
• Exports videos and facilitates mobile and web distribution
• Shoots video and produces content as necessary
• Explores different versions and directions
• Ensures compliance with highest journalist standards
• Adjusts formats and file sizes as needed

Video Editor Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 year of video editing and post-production experience
• Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Edius, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom)
• Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
• Creative and innovative
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Film or related field

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished, engaging, and high-quality video content aligned with our brand's voice and goals. You should be skilled in storytelling, understand visual pacing, and have an eye for detail and design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit video content for a variety of platforms including web, social media, advertising, and internal communications.
• Assemble raw footage, apply creative edits, and deliver final cuts in a timely manner.
• Add music, voiceovers, sound effects, graphics, and visual effects.
• Collaborate with producers, designers, and other team members to meet project goals.
• Ensure brand consistency and quality across all video outputs.
• Organize and archive video assets for easy access and future use.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a video editor (portfolio or demo reel required).
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar.
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, color grading, and audio mixing.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to take constructive feedback and adapt to creative direction.
• Degree in Film Studies, Multimedia, Communications, or relevant field is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in animation or motion design.
• Basic knowledge of camera operations and video production.
• Experience editing for social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Understanding of marketing and branding principles.
