As a Video Editor at our finance YouTube channel with 2.6 million subscribers, you will play a crucial role in editing both short and long-form videos to engage our audience effectively. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and overseeing video editing projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet project objectives and deadlines. - Collaborating with content creators, directors, and team members to conceptualize and execute video content aligning with our brand's vision. - Editing raw footage to create visually appealing videos, including promotional videos, advertisements, event coverage, and social media content. - Enhancing video quality by incorporating graphics, animations, effects, and sound elements. - Managing and organizing video assets, including file management, version control, and archival. - Staying updated with industry trends, video editing techniques, and software advancements. - Providing mentorship and guidance to junior video editors, offering feedback and support for their skill development. - Ensuring video projects adhere to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and best practices for distribution across various platforms. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity. - Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools. - Solid understanding of video production workflows, formats, codecs, color grading, and audio synchronization. - Excellent storytelling skills to create compelling video narratives. - Attention to detail, creative flair, and ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders, clients, and team members. - A Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or related field is advantageous. - Leadership experience or a desire to mentor a team of video editors.
