Vice President – Vessel Operation / Equipment Control, based at Mumbai / Nhava Sheva

The candidate should be a Graduate/Post Graduate from a premier institute with about 18-20 years of post-qualification experience in handling and effectively managing the operations and equipment control at port ensuring zero service failure. Master Mariners will be preferred for this role. Candidates having experience in handling Container/Bulk/ Break Bulk/Project Cargo/Lifts on - Lifts off/RoRo operations are welcome. Must be able to effectively manage people and external agencies. Job responsibilities include to organize and control Operational activities, co-ordination with principals, vendors, capacity allocation to optimize revenue, liasoning with Govt bodies, problem solving, improving operational procedures, service innovation, control of all operations to ensure customer satisfaction, office administration. Will also have to communicate and enforce operational standards to ensure fast turnaround of the vessels in port, loading & discharge of cargo, turnaround of equipment, coordinate with external agencies like Port, Customs etc., Must be able to enforce cost effectiveness, customer satisfaction, problem solving, compliance, claim prevention, operational safety standards, capacity management and team management, improving operational procedures and systems and service innovation, monitoring and control of all operations to ensure customer satisfaction, office administration, MIS, payables, receivables etc.
