Vice President - Regulatory Compliance

As a VP Regulatory Compliance Advisory for HBAP INM CMB & GBM at HSBC, your role is crucial in ensuring that the operations are effective in identifying, managing, and mitigating Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks. Your responsibilities include: - Supporting CMB & GBM Advisory in maintaining an effective control framework and ensuring compliance with all relevant external laws & regulations, internal codes, and policies with a primary focus on CMB and GBM area. - Articulating the Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks for HBAP INM CMB & GBM. - Providing advisory services to HBAP INM CMB & GBM business to ensure a clear understanding of compliance risk exposure. - Managing the relationship with relevant regulators on behalf of HBAP INM CMB & GBM. - Exercising risk steward challenge, acting as an independent trusted advisor in governance forums, issue management, and fostering a compliance culture. - Assisting senior management in all material compliance-related matters. - Representing the Compliance agenda at the highest levels of the Group's governance. - Supporting the establishment of guiding principles, strategic operational objectives, and budget management. Principal Accountabilities: - Supporting critical Compliance policies and systems impacting HBAP INM CMB & GBM. - Providing advice and support on Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime risks. - Reporting to Head of Compliance Advisory on relevant matters. - Managing relationships with regulators and external stakeholders. - Developing positive working relationships and supporting career management and succession planning. Requirements: - Significant experience in Compliance risk within the financial services industry. - Detailed knowledge of HSBC Group structure, business, and corporate culture. - Leadership experience and strategic thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to develop practical solutions to complex global issues. - Legal, accountancy qualification, or background in risk or audit discipline.
