BPC Bioproducts Private Limited (Tradename ‘AMYLO’) is a bioplastics company that develops and commercializes sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions. Amylo’s R&D has been supported by Indian Institute of Science’s startup incubator since Dec 2023 through a research grant and through the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. Amylo was also awarded a research grant by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms. VP, Research & Development Overview: We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual with prior experience commercialising new materials. Work experience gained with material startups or innovation departments of chemicals, Agtech, textiles or food companies would be ideal. Compensation includes a meaningful offer of stock options (up to 10% for the right candidate) and payout of INR 12L CTC per annum with potential of revision on close of funding. Key Responsibilities: Product roadmap execution through collaborating with founders, sales and vendors to define and execute the product roadmap Ensuring that all products and technologies developed meet the highest standards of quality and comply with relevant regulations. Overseeing the development and protection of intellectual property, including patents. Managing, mentoring, setting performance goals and monitoring progress of the research team. Contacts within the materials science ecosystem would be an added advantage. Educational Qualification: Preference would be given to Masters in Material Science (polymer chemistry or polymer engineering) from top academic institutions.
