Job Description

As the Vice President Marketing - India and South Asia (INSA) at Castrol, you will play a crucial role in leading the marketing organization to ensure the successful implementation of local and global marketing strategies. Your contributions will underpin Castrol's strategy, making you a key member of the leadership team. **Key Accountabilities:** - Take full accountability for the marketing strategy and its delivery, including Castrol/C&P and PU level marketing plans. - Lead country teams in developing annual marketing plans and roadmap aligned with the signed off Operating Business Plan (OBP) and Growth Strategy. - Manage marketing investment and establish programs to measure against strategic and tactical goals. - Bring consumer and customer insights to the leadership table for effective focus on marketing strategy delivery. - Contribute to key innovation pipeline development with strong local insights. **Execution:** - Drive the activation of Marketing programs as per signed off plans. - Ensure effective deployment of spends across activities and programs in markets, evaluating business results for cost efficiency. - Manage product portfolio to deliver growth targets consistent with global brand strategies. - Conduct communication and promotion to consumers and trade, including thought leadership programs. - Lead market research and competitive intelligence for strategic planning and pricing decisions. - Develop winning customer value propositions through channel strategy and customer segmentation. **People:** Lead the people agenda in the marketing function to build a world-class Marketing function with solid capability and talent pipeline, providing clear direction, coaching, and development. **Qualifications:** - MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business or Marketing from a premier institute only. **Experience:** - 18+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing in global FMCG companies or Marketing-led companies. - 10+ years of experience in Marketing leadership roles. - Experience in leading high-performance teams and disciplined marketing campaign execution. - Experience working with agencies across multiple channels and countries. - Experience in a matrix organization with complex customer interfaces. - Lubricants experience desirable but not essential. - Sales experience desirable. **Skills & Proficiencies:** - Developing a Marketing Strategy - Expert. - Brand management - Expert. - Customer Value Proposition Development and Engagement - Mastery. - Marketing Pricing management - Mastery. - Sector, Market, Customer, and Competitor Understanding - Mastery. - Performance monitoring - Mastery. - Project & Relationship Management - Expert. - Generating and Applying Customer and Consumer Insights. **Travel Requirement:** Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role.
