Job Description

As a Vice President Marketing - India and South Asia (INSA) at Castrol, your role will involve leading the marketing organization to ensure consistent and successful implementation of local and global marketing strategies. You will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the delivery and scorecard of the business. Your responsibilities will include: - Taking full accountability for the marketing strategy and its delivery in alignment with the business's strategy at both Castrol/C&P and PU level - Leading country teams in developing annual marketing plans and roadmaps based on the signed off Operating Business Plan (OBP) and Growth Strategy - Managing marketing investment and establishing programs to measure against strategic and tactical goals - Bringing consumer and customer insights to the leadership table and focusing on delivering the marketing strategy - Contributing to key innovation pipeline development with strong local insights In terms of execution, you will be responsible for driving the activation of marketing programs, ensuring effective deployment of spends, managing product portfolio, communication to consumers and trade, generating key insights through market research, and developing customer value propositions. You will also lead the Castrol Marketing Review (CMR) process and ensure product value price setting in line with legal guidelines. Your role will also involve leading the people agenda in the marketing function to build a world-class Marketing team with solid capability and a strong talent pipeline. You should have an MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business or Marketing from a premier institute, along with 18+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing in global FMCG companies or Marketing-led companies. Key Qualifications: - MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in business or Marketing from a premier institute - 18+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing in global FMCG companies or Marketing-led companies - 10+ years of experience in Marketing leadership roles - Experience in disciplined marketing campaign execution - Experience working with agencies across multiple channels and countries - Experience in a matrix organization with complex customer interfaces - Lubricants experience desirable but not essential Key Skills & Proficiencies: - Developing a Marketing Strategy - Brand management - Customer Value Proposition Development and Engagement - Marketing Pricing management - Sector, Market, Customer, and Competitor Understanding - Performance monitoring - Project & Relationship Management - Generating and Applying Customer and Consumer Insights Travel Requirement: - Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role Relocation Assistance: - This role is eligible for relocation within the country Please note that this position is not available for remote working.
