Vice President - Global Banking & Markets Operations - Operational Risk - Hyderabad

ROLE OVERVIEW: As a Vice President in the First line Risk Management team within the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) Division at Goldman Sachs, you will be joining a new Quality Assurance & Monitoring team within the Strategy and Analytics group. Your role will involve independently assessing the division's control environment through a robust Monitoring & Testing framework. Your impact will be crucial in providing independent, objective, and timely assurance around the firm's internal control structure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop an in-depth understanding of the operational risk and control profile across Global Banking & Markets (GBM) - Provide advice, challenge, and recommendations to the businesses on ways to mitigate risk; review action items to ensure effective risk management - Act as a culture carrier by embedding a risk mindset within the team, region, and globally - Identify opportunities to share risk best practices across teams and functions - Collaborate with business lines to understand residual risks and improve the risk and control framework - Work with stakeholders to develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational health and drive the risk agenda - Develop a Control QA & Monitoring framework to enhance monitoring of process, system, and controls efficacy - Design tests for data quality, lineage, and controls across various products, business lines, and processes - Partner with developers to develop tooling for test execution and reporting - Build data models and visualizations for multi-dimensional reporting - Coordinate risk management delivery with other divisions and support regulatory interactions - Mentor and coach junior team members QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: - Solid understanding of the global markets franchise and experience within a risk management context - Strong control mindset and passion for risk management - Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels - Analytical skills with attention to detail - Ability to identify areas for control enhancements and automation - Experience in data analytics and metrics-driven decision-making - Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively - Drive for personal improvement and achieving challenging goals - Interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with global teams - Familiarity with emerging business and market trends - Aptitude for handling large data sets and synthesizing information - Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes - Understanding of risks and controls in financial markets context ABOUT THE COMPANY: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm committed to fostering diversity and inclusion.
