We have been retained by a professionally managed organisation to recruit Vice President - Engineering for them. The job location is Bangalore. Kindly find below the job description: Job summary This is a senior leadership position where the candidate will lead all the technical departments. The candidate will report to the Managing Director. 1. Essential responsibilities and tasks a. Contribute towards technical strategy b. Skills and competence development of the team c. Ensure efficient carry out of day-to-day tasks d. Help in business development and growth of the Company 2. Authority: a. Appraisals of subordinates b. Routine approvals in carrying out day to day activities c. Specific authority may be granted by the MD from time-to-time 3. Interaction: Interactions would be with various stakeholders, such as: a. Immediate subordinates b. Peers in the Management team c. Department managers/ team members d. Colleagues from sister companies/ different ENRX subsidiaries e. Customers f. Vendors 4. Measurable targets a. On time completion of activities such as: design completion, release of indents, providing estimates for quotations etc. b. Continuous improvements activities c. Response to customer complaints d. Minimized design errors e. Cost savings f. Order intake 5. Knowledge and skills a. Strong communication and leadership skills b. Preferable to have knowledge of CE (for Europe market) c. Preferable to have ISO documentation knowledge d. Should have 5s Knowledge to maintain 5s in department e. DFMEA knowledge f. Proactiveness and dynamism g. Ability to work under pressure h. Continuous improvement mindset (driving cost reductions/efficiency improvements) i. Strong attention to detail and accuracy j. Knowledge of all essential elements of an induction heating machine 6. Education/work experience a. Minimum education qualification: Bachelor's in technology/ engineering (mechanical/ electrical/ electronic) b. Knowledge of control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi c. Minimum 20 years of experience d. Cross stream experience (mechanical/electrical/electronic) will be a great advantage e. Prior experience of handling teams with over 25 people in size. Proven managerial record f. CAD/PDM/CREO experience.
