Vice President Data Scientist

Role Overview: As the Legal Analytics lead (Vice President) at AIM in Gurugram, you will be reporting to the Legal Analytics head (Senior Vice President) and leading a team of statisticians and Data Science experts. Your main responsibilities will include Model Development, Validation, Governance, and Documentation. Your role involves driving quality, reliability, and usability of all work products and refining statistical methods to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. It is essential to ensure proper documentation of all project work and be prepared to respond to Internal Audit, Compliance Testing, and Regulators questions. Key Responsibilities: - Support the model validation process for Model Risk Management - Develop and implement automated solutions to manage the increasing volume of models - Oversee the development of predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and other advanced analytical techniques - Document data requirements, data collection, processing, and cleaning, as well as exploratory data analysis - Interface between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection - Offer technical guidance and support in areas such as knowledge graph development and data extraction - Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management - Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data science and analytics - Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements - Work with large and complex data sets to evaluate and support the implementation of business strategies - Develop and execute the data science and analytics strategy - Assess risk when making business decisions and drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Lead a team of data scientists to deliver on organizational priorities Qualifications: - 10-15 years of experience in Data Science roles - Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques - Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights - Experience in interacting with senior stakeholders and managing end-to-end implementation of data science solutions - People management experience - In-depth understanding of financial service business models and advanced statistical techniques - Creative problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Bachelors or Masters degree in STEM, Masters degree preferred Please note the additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.,
