Job Description

Position Summary:

Veterinary Doctor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals.
  • Perform routine check-ups, vaccinations, and preventive care.
  • Conduct surgeries and medical procedures as needed.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend treatment plans.
  • Advise pet owners on nutrition, hygiene, and overall animal care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to provide quality care.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine (B.V.Sc.) or equivalent.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice.
  • Experience in clinical veterinary practice preferred (5-7 years).
  • Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in surgical and diagnostic procedures.

Desirable:

  • Specialization in a particular area (e.g., surgery, dermatology, exotic animals).
  • Experience working in animal shelters, zoos, or research institutions.
  • Strong understanding of animal nutrition and behavior.
