Material & Process Expertise: Select appropriate materials (PET, PP, bioplastics, etc.) for colour cosmetics packaging based on technical requirements such as chemical resistance, UV protection, and aesthetics. Oversee the moulding and tooling process for cosmetic packaging, ensuring high quality and cost-effective production. Client Management & Coordination: Manage client relationships to ensure that packaging solutions align with brand objectives, customer requirements, and timelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the product development process, ensuring timely delivery and resolving issues effectively. Project Management: Plan and execute new product development projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and resources. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and procurement, to ensure smooth project execution. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure packaging solutions comply with international regulations and industry standards for cosmetics packaging. Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry requirements. Sustainability & Cost Control: Focus on developing sustainable packaging solutions and optimizing cost-efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. Implement cost-effective production techniques and collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials and processes are within budget constraints. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of product development professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Work closely with the marketing and R&D teams to integrate customer feedback and market trends into the product development process. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification in Product Development, Packaging Technology, or related fields is a plus. Experience : 7 to 14 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), particularly in rigid plastic packaging for the colour cosmetics or FMCG industry. Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading product development projects from concept to commercialization. Technical Skills : Expertise in injection moulding, thermoforming, and plastic processing technologies, with a focus on cosmetic packaging. Strong knowledge of materials such as PET, PP, and sustainable plastics commonly used in cosmetic packaging. Familiarity with CAD software, Mold design, and rapid prototyping. Soft Skills : Strong project management skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage client relationships and internal teams. Creative and innovative mindset with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
