Job Description for consultants for Mass Concept

Education:

B.E (Mechanical/Automotive)

Relevant Experience Required:

About 3 to 4 years of experience in Mass-Concept for Automotive components. Must have worked with Global Companies (German OEMs/Tier 1s preferred)

Requirements:

Technical competence:

Minimum 3 years of work experience in DMU, Vehicle Architecture & layout, Dimensional Concepts, Packaging Concepts, etc., for automobile application.

Know-how of vehicle related regulations & Certification requirements.

Know How of Vehicle Ergonomics & knowledge about Global Car Information Exchange (GCIE).

Must have Vehicle Integration experience.

Preparation of vehicle bill of material and know-how of vehicle configurations.

Excellent knowledge with hands on experience in NX Unigraphics.

Work experience in PDM/PLM tool.

Packaging investigations for vehicle systems and conducting DMU (Digital Mock Up) reviews.

Awareness of Automotive New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

Sound technical knowledge of mechanical design.

Professional skills:

Ability to interact and work within teams.

Good team playing skills and ability to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent in communication and coordination.

Demonstrate excellent analytical and assertive skills.

Good in MS Excel and power point presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare GCIE Vehicle Level Drawings consisting for Major Dimensions.

Development of and series production support for the vehicle dimensional concept which meets the project objectives regarding interior and exterior styling, function, quality, legal specifications and production concerns.

Benchmarking of relevant vehicle dimensions and specifications.

Ensure documentation of development progress in the RD systems (Smaragd etc.) for Master-blatt, 3D-Masolids, Certification Drawing, GCIE Drawing etc.,

Support team leader in preparing statistics, technical reports and presentation.

Provide timely communication about issues and development to reporting manager.

Execute design projects using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices and project requirements.

Proper documentation of technical data consistent with internal procedures.

Ensure knowledge is shared across the team members.

To manage risks and issues impacting project deliverables.
