Roles : This role is to render engineering support to Chassis Technology Fluids which owns the System The key responsibilities include : Design of Fuel tanks/Fuel system/LNG/Fuel Cells/Fenders Fairings/Tail Lamp and mounting brackets Design of casting anchorages and Sheet metal components Design of Complex Sheet metal parts & brackets Work closely with supplier for development components Engineering documentation of drawings and specifications Documentation of solutions Education, Skills and Experience: B.E Mechanical/Automobile Engineering with Relevant experience (~5 Years) Hands on work experience in similar automotive - domain preferred Experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry will be an added advantage Good knowledge of application of GD&T The key personal skills for this role are: Good knowledge on design of sheet metal brackets and casting component design. Design and installation of Fuel Tanks and Systems. Extensive hands on experience in ProE (wf4.0 & above) / Creo and PDM software’s is mandatory Exposure to vehicle packaging and DMU mock up - Creo View is required Design and installation of different mechanical components on chassis Familiar to different types of truck/automotive aggregates preferred Strong in engineering fundamentals and its applications Good networking and interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication. Good team player and contributor in Cross Functional Teams Prior exposure to Volvo unique systems like KOLA will be an added advantage

Role & responsibilities Experience in vehicle engineering for tractors especially smaller HP Tractors. Knowledge on product requirements specific to smaller HP tractors. Knowledge on vehicle performance requirements and various field applications of smaller HP tractors. Knowledge on selection of engine, driveline and implement matching to meet performance requirements. Knowledge on Integration of various aggregates, optimised packaging, overall dimensional requirements, etc. Should have worked on structural analysis of vehicle components, flow predictions and optimisation. Should have worked on concept design of vehicle, comparison of various concepts and selection. Should have worked on problem resolution in vehicle performance / field issues, etc. Should have experience in vehicle layout preparation, stake up analysis, tolerance synthesis, etc. Good understanding of DFMEA / DFM / DFA and other required Design tools. Should have worked on detailed design, Design verification using appropriate design tools, release of drawings and other design documents and Engineering bill of materials. Knowledge of various test requirements of tractors, homologation requirements, statutory, regulatory and safety requirements. Should be able to work on theoretical calculations.

Fully Responsible for Vehicle Integration, Maintaining the Vehicle Layout, Concept & Final Design of Various Machine aggregates for MEWP machines. 2. Responsible for End to End delivery right from Concept to Drawing Release, Selection of components, Product Improvements, resolve field issues, adding features, and Material BOM Cost reduction through VA/VE initiatives. 3. Prepare Design Release timeplans, Part Release plans considering project timelines. Update & provide information to management through PFEP (plan for every part tracker) . 4. Concept work and Design of various Welded Structures, Sheet Metal Parts, Sub-assembly, Structuring the assemblies into layout, ensuring proper coordination & communication within team & with Stakeholders working in cross functional environment. 5. Design review and Concept presentations & approvals. 6. Must know the working and performance criterias, specifications of machine. Reviewing the Vehicle Layout in view of all aggregates & ensure the digital mock up is checked at design stage for performance, assembly, service aspects. Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives. 7. Ensuring the Coordination between design aggregate teams of Vehicle integration, Structures, Hydraulics, Electricals and Engine Installation. Proposing the observations and ensuring the required modifications for project progress. Coordinate with global teams for design release. 8. Prepare technical proposals, reports, and presentations & support teams on technical issues. 9. Design Detailing, BOM compilation and Engineering Drawing release through Engineering Change Management process. 10. Coordinate with Test and Development, Purchasing and Quality Assurance and Production departments for development at various stages of Projects as required till the implementation.
