Vehicle Development Test Engineer

As a Vehicle Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle level durability and functional testing on road/tracks or test benches to ensure product reliability and performance. Utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of instrumentation, you will be setting up test equipment, data logging, and analyzing data to accurately capture and interpret test results. Your role will involve executing vehicle level performance/functional testing on chassis dynamometers or road/tracks to assess various performance parameters. Your expertise in driving skills will be crucial as you evaluate vehicle performance aspects such as powertrain performance, NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness), ride, and handling. Effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders is essential for successful project execution, including managing resources and working closely with cross-functional teams. Your strong communication and presentation skills will be utilized to share findings and recommendations with team members and management. You will be required to make quick and informed decisions, considering cost and quality targets to meet organizational objectives and project deadlines. Your proven experience and good understanding of vehicle systems, particularly in the context of new model testing and emerging technologies such as electric/hybrid vehicles, will be valuable for this role. Hands-on experience with vehicle level durability and functional testing, as well as in-depth knowledge of instrumentation, data logging, and data analysis related to automotive testing, are essential.
