Job Title: Vegetarian Executive Chef Location: Thanjavur Kitchen, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Job Type: Full-Time Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹80,000 per month (based on experience) About Us: Thanjavur Kitchen is a premier South Indian vegetarian restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Tamil Nadu. We specialize in authentic, flavorful, and traditional dishes crafted with care and served with warmth. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Vegetarian Executive Chef to lead our kitchen and elevate our culinary offerings. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient service Develop and update traditional South Indian vegetarian menus with seasonal variety Maintain authentic taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and hygiene standards Monitor inventory, control food costs, and manage vendor relationships Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards at all times Collaborate with management on menu planning, customer feedback, and new initiatives Requirements: Proven experience as an Executive or Head Chef in vegetarian or South Indian cuisine In-depth knowledge of Tamil Nadu culinary traditions and ingredients Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred Ability to manage a team and deliver consistent quality in a high-volume setting Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Kerala cuisine and customer preferences Experience in traditional cooking methods (tiffin items, sambar varieties, filter coffee, etc.) Strong commitment to maintaining authenticity and taste What We Offer: Competitive salary: ₹50,000 – ₹80,000 per month Performance-based incentives Supportive and professional work environment Opportunities for creativity and menu development A platform to showcase culinary talent and preserve tradition Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month Benefits: Flexible schedule Food provided Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Fixed shift Morning shift Rotational shift Weekend availability Work Location: In person
