UX/UI Developer

Role Overview: You will be working as a UX/UI Developer at Fastmarkets, an industry-leading price-reporting agency and information provider for global commodities. Your main responsibility will be designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces for digital analytics applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly designs that transform complex data sets into actionable insights. Your role will play a crucial part in creating a world-class product that helps customers understand and predict dynamic markets. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct user research and analysis to understand user needs and behaviors, creating user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to inform design decisions. - Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web applications, Power BI dashboards, and reports. - Build responsive, high-performance front-end applications using Angular and RxJS, implementing reactive programming techniques to handle asynchronous data streams. - Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code while adhering to best practices. - Develop and maintain a design system including UI components, style guides, and best practices, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards and staying updated with the latest design trends. - Collaborate closely with Power BI developers to translate design concepts into functional dashboards and reports, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Conduct usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs, creating compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate complex information. - Develop a strong understanding of Power BI capabilities and limitations to optimize design and development. Qualifications: - Minimum 10 years of experience as a UX/UI developer, with a strong understanding of interaction design principles and user-centered design processes. - Proficiency in Angular framework and RxJS for reactive programming, along with strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, as well as demonstrated understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. - Knowledge of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices. - Ability to quickly create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, along with experience in data visualization best practices and techniques. - Familiarity with state management libraries such as NgRx or Akita, motion design, and animation libraries. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a plus if you have an understanding of Agile/Scrum, data visualization principles, and designing for data-driven applications.
