Fastmarkets is an industry-leading price-reporting agency (PRA) and information provider for global commodities, offering price data, news, analytics, and events for various markets including agriculture, forest products, metals, mining, and new-generation energy. Your role as a UX/UI Developer at Fastmarkets involves designing intuitive and engaging user experiences and interfaces for the digital analytics application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as data engineers, analysts, and Power BI developers, to create user-friendly designs that transform complex data sets into actionable insights. Your expertise in blending design aesthetics with data-driven insights will play a crucial role in developing a world-class product. Responsibilities include conducting user research and analysis to comprehend user needs and behaviors, creating user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide design decisions, designing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web applications and Power BI dashboards, building responsive front-end applications using Angular and RxJS, implementing reactive programming techniques, writing clean and reusable code, developing and maintaining a design system, collaborating with Power BI developers to translate design concepts into functional dashboards, conducting usability tests, creating effective data visualizations, and optimizing design based on Power BI capabilities. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a UX/UI developer, proficiency in Angular framework and RxJS, strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript, experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility, familiarity with user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices, ability to quickly create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, experience with data visualization best practices, knowledge of motion design and animation libraries, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and preferably familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
