As an Underwriter and Sr. Underwriter at the company, your role will involve leveraging your 3+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting to evaluate loan documents thoroughly. Your key responsibilities will include: - Being well-versed with FNMA, FHLMC, and having knowledge of GNMA and investor guidelines for additional benefit - Demonstrating good analytical and problem-solving skills - Applying business judgment to make sound decisions - Evaluating complete loan documents and providing approval or denial decisions - Conducting a comprehensive review of credit reports, including verifying trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliation - Performing thorough income calculations for various types of income such as salaried income, business income, retired income, and rental income - Reviewing collateral and property valuation in detail - Verifying assets through borrowers" bank account statements, retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investments - Analyzing credit based on borrowers" Income, Asset, Liability, and Collateral (4C of Underwriting) to assess customer creditworthiness - Validating and processing loan documents on behalf of a Mortgage lender organization Additionally, you should possess good communication and presentation skills, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
