US Audit Manager - Construction

As an Audit Manager at Sentient, an Ascend Company, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients based in the United States. You will be the primary liaison between Sentient and the assigned clients, responsible for overseeing all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the day-to-day operations of the clients. Your main focus will be on clients in the Construction industry, with additional responsibilities involving Employee Benefit Plans (EBP) or Not-for-Profit (NFP) organizations. Engagements will include Reviews, Audits, and Compilations, ensuring thorough and compliant execution. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of Seniors, Senior Associates, and Associates to deliver high-quality work in line with audit methodology and client expectations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key client contacts, proactively managing workflow, and standardizing audit processes will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement, provide guidance on technical matters, and contribute to team development through training and performance feedback. To qualify for this role, you should be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits for qualified candidates, and 7+ years for non-qualified candidates. Expert knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), as well as proficiency in audit tools and applications, are essential. Industry experience in Employee Benefit Plans (EBP), Healthcare, and Not-for-Profit (NFP) sectors is preferred.
