Scheduling / Planning :
-To ensure procurement of specified quality of material with competitive and reasonable prices of purchased
items.
- To maintain list of approved sources (vendors), to complete purchase documents and to procure material from
approved sources only.
-To negotiate the prices with the existing supplies periodically and finalize the prices in consultation with
Superior.
- To introduce new and cost effective sources of procurement items and coordinate the trials and testing of such
items through a CFT and maintain the documents for such a trials and testing.
-To coordinate with HOD QA for evaluating vendor / suppliers to improve their quality performance.
- To ensure timely release of Purchase Order with complete specs and certificates requirement of the items under
PO, and to ensure timely delivery of material as per schedules mentioned in the PO
- To ensure that supplier deliver the material as per delivery schedule and accordingly, monitor the delivery
performance vis--vis quality performance of the suppliers
- To ensure that suppliers payments are released and their commercial interest are taken care by the company
-Managing the procurement of wiring harness components
and accessories for production requirement, ensuring timely
delivery and cost-effective sourcing.
-Commodity owner for all direct & indirect procurement.
India plant representative for sourcing team.
-Responsible for supplier evaluations to identify new vendors,
Saving and negotiate current pricing terms.
-Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand
requirements, specifications and budget.
-Supplier meetings, visits and vendor audits to monitor
performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
-Responsible for new vendor development for Electrical,
Electronics, Mechanical and Indirect BOM parts.
-Update weekly commodity status to global team and
responsible for India operations.
-Responsible for new project coordinating with Design,
Engineering, Production etc. departments.
-Experience of releasing PO , SA and contracts with vendor
