Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Plant Project Planning & Execution

Plan and execute plant-specific projects including:

New machine installation
Production line expansion
Plant modification & layout changes
Automation & process improvement projects
Utility projects (boiler, compressor, power, ETP, utilities)

Prepare detailed project schedules, BOQs, timelines, and resource plans.

2. Coordination with Plant Departments

Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, Safety, Stores, and Utilities teams.
Ensure project activities are aligned with production schedules to avoid downtime.
Take necessary shutdown approvals and plan execution during breakdowns or planned shutdowns.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management (Plant Site)

Manage civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation contractors at plant site.
Ensure contractor manpower discipline, productivity, and safety compliance.
Monitor vendor material delivery, installation quality, and commissioning support.

4. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring

Ensure plant projects are executed within approved budgets.
Control variation orders, additional work, and avoid cost overruns.
Coordinate with purchase and finance teams for POs, bills, and payments.
