Urgent - Production Manager - Manufacturing

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per demand and capacity.
• Ensure production targets are achieved with minimum downtime and wastage.
• Monitor production output, efficiency, and yield.

2. Plant Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day plant operations and shop-floor activities.
• Ensure smooth running of machines and production lines.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

3. Manpower & Shift Management

• Manage production manpower including operators, supervisors, and helpers.
• Plan shifts, deployment, and attendance to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Train and guide team members for safe and efficient operations.

4. Quality Control & Process Improvement

• Ensure products meet defined quality standards and specifications.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce rework.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and corrective actions.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to safety rules, PPE usage, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings and support safety audits.
• Promote safe working practices and zero-accident culture.

6. Cost Control & Resource Optimization

• Control production costs, material consumption, and wastage.
• Optimize usage of raw materials, utilities, and consumables.
• Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for material availability.

7. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch teams.
• Prepare daily production reports, MIS, and performance reviews.
• Present production status and improvement plans to management.

8. Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean, 5S, TPM, or similar improvement initiatives.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, and capacity utilization improvements.
