Job Description

Role: Head of Logistics & Supply Chain

Location:  Navi Mumbai

Expereince: min 12 years in SCM/ Logistics Head

Department: Logistics & Supply Chain

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Travel: Pan India as and when required

Position Overview:

The Head of Logistics & Supply Chain will lead the design, development, and execution of all

logistics and supply chain functions including first-mile and last-mile UCO collection,

vendor and fleet management, warehouse operations, route optimization, and real-time

performance tracking through our ERP (NAV) system. The role will also involve strategic

planning and cost optimization to support scalable and sustainable growth across India.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute end-to-end logistics and supply chain strategy aligned with company

objectives.

  • Scale logistics infrastructure and network across all zones (North, East, South, West, Central India).
  • Coordinate with the COO and Project Team for new warehouse setups, equipment installations, and logistics layout planning.

Fleet, Route & Collection Optimization

  • Design and implement efficient UCO collection schedules (bulk & routine pickups) using

route planning tools.

  • Maximize fleet utilization and efficiency while maintaining service levels for clients
  • Oversee vendor management for outsourced logistics and enforce service-level agreements.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Ensure smooth operations across all client warehouses including safety, hygiene,

inbound/outbound management, and drum/IBC inventory control.

  • Drive standardization across locations with robust SOPs for handling, sealing, weighing,

and storage of UCO.

Systems & ERP Integration

  • Ensure accurate data entry and operational consistency in Microsoft NAV ERP system.
  • Maintain digital Pick-Up Notes, route maps, vendor Purchase Orders, and Logistic

Dashboards.

Team Management & Governance

  • Build and lead a cross-regional logistics team including regional managers, warehouse

officers, and transport coordinators.

  • Conduct training, performance reviews, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and

compliance protocols.

Cost, KPI & Risk Management

  • Control logistics costs, reduce wastage, and optimize operational budgets.
  • Monitor KPIs such as cost per MT, delivery reliability, UCO recovery rate, vehicle TAT, and

collection fulfillment.

  • Identify risks (e.g. theft, fuel misuse, inventory gaps) and implement corrective actions

with audit trial.

Key Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Masters or MBA in Operations/Supply Chain preferred.
