Urban Planner

As an Urban Planner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of urban trends, population growth, transportation systems, infrastructure, land use patterns, environmental factors, and economic conditions to understand the existing urban landscape. Your role will involve developing long-term comprehensive plans for urban development, considering factors such as land use, zoning regulations, transportation networks, housing, public spaces, and environmental conservation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing the preparation of Development Plans (DP), Regional Plans (RP), Town Planning Schemes (TPS), and Urban renewal projects. - Engaging with local communities and stakeholders to gather feedback, identify their needs, and ensure that urban planning decisions reflect the interests and aspirations of the people who live and work in the area. - Developing plans to revitalize and rehabilitate deteriorating neighborhoods or urban areas, fostering social equity and economic growth. - Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other data management tools to analyze spatial data, visualize planning scenarios, and present data-driven solutions. - Monitoring the implementation of urban plans and assessing their effectiveness over time, making necessary adjustments to ensure they align with changing urban dynamics and priorities. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in urban planning, Urban Design, or Architecture. - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in urban planning. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
