Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Monitor Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and budgets, ensuring alignment with actual performance.
    • Prepare monthly forecasts and conduct variance analysis to highlight key insights.
    • Ensure the maintenance of a healthy bank balance and manage cash flow effectively.
  2. Costing and Reconciliation:

    • Maintain accurate costing records and perform periodic reconciliations.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
    • Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
  3. Audit Readiness:

    • Coordinate and face internal audits, statutory audits, and cost audits.
    • Ensure timely submission of records, reconciliation statements, and explanations required during audits.
    • Address audit observations and implement corrective actions to strengthen internal controls.
  4. Stock and Fixed Asset Management:

    • Conduct periodic stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with policies.
    • Perform fixed assets verification and maintain up-to-date records for reconciliation.
  5. GST and Tax Compliance:

    • Manage all GST-related activities, including filing of returns, reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
    • Stay updated on GST regulations to ensure full compliance and minimize tax risks.
  6. Project and Unit Monitoring:

    • Track progress of capital expenditure and other key projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
    • Participate in unit-level meetings and provide financial insights for strategic planning.
  7. Sales and Revenue Support:

    • Collaborate with the sales team to set and achieve revenue targets.
    • Provide financial support to optimize sales strategies and improve profitability.
  8. ERP System Utilization:

    • Work on ERP systems to manage financial data, generate reports, and ensure seamless integration of operations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate updates of all financial transactions in the ERP system.
  9. Stakeholder Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships across the unit and with the head office to ensure effective communication.
    • Liaise with internal teams, job workers, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
  10. MIS and Reporting:

    • Generate and present detailed MIS reports on unit performance, including financial and operational metrics.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis to enhance unit profitability.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of internal, statutory, and cost audit processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Expertise in GST regulations, costing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
