Job Description – UK Taxation Specialist

🔹 Role Overview

We are seeking a UK Taxation Specialist to join our Mumbai office. The role involves managing end-to-end UK personal tax return processes, handling a portfolio of Self-Assessment Tax Return (SATR) clients, and leading a small team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to accuracy in tax compliance.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee
UK personal tax return processes
from preparation to submission.
Prepare and review
Self-Assessment Tax Returns (SATR)
for a portfolio of approx. 300 clients.
Supervise and mentor a team of 2 junior tax professionals.
Ensure compliance with UK tax provisions and statutory deadlines.
Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide guidance on tax matters.
Identify process improvements and contribute to workflow optimization.
Stay updated on UK tax regulations, including CGT, EIS, SEIS, and other reliefs.

🔹 Candidate Profile

Experience:
3–8 years in any tax, with exposure to personal tax return processes.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of basic UK tax provisions.
Familiarity with CGT, cost of improvement treatment, taxation on sale of shares, and tax reliefs (EIS/SEIS) preferred.
