UI/UX Manager

Year of experience: 12+yrs Location: Pune (Hybrid) 

We are seeking for a UI/UX Manager from a Product company who will help set design standards for the team and train and support the team in UX best practices. Collaborate closely with product management and Stakeholders and engineering team. He/She will also be responsible for planning budgets and timelines, monitoring progress on deliverables. The Manager ensures the delivery of intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centred designs that align with business goals and enhance the overall user experience. 

UI/UX Strategy and Planning: 

• Develop and execute the UI/UX strategy, roadmap, and design guidelines to support the organisation's goals and objectives. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs, business requirements, and market trends. 

UX Design and Information Architecture: 

• Define user flows, interaction models, and information architecture to create seamless and intuitive user experiences. 
• Ensure consistency and usability across different product features and platforms. 

Team Leadership and Management: 

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of UI/UX designers. 
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing design team. 
• Allocate resources effectively and manage workload distribution. 

Wireframing and Prototyping: 

• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualise and communicate design concepts. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to iterate and refine designs based on feedback and user testing. 

Visual Design and Branding: 

• Lead the development of visually appealing and consistent UI designs that align with the organisation's brand identity and style guidelines. 
• Ensure the use of appropriate colour schemes, typography, and visual elements to enhance the user experience. 

Usability and Interaction Design: 

• Define intuitive and user-friendly interactions, workflows, and navigation patterns. 
• Conduct usability evaluations and heuristic reviews to identify usability issues and propose design improvements. 

Design System and Guidelines: 

• Establish and maintain a design system that provides reusable UI components, patterns, and guidelines. 
• Promote consistency and efficiency in design implementation across products and platforms. 

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: 

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align UI/UX design efforts with product requirements and timelines. 
• Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and trade-offs to stakeholders. 

Skills

• 10+yrs of experience as a UI/UX designer or in a related role is required. 
• At Least 5+ yrs of experience in designing scalable products 
• At Least 7+yrs of experience in managing a team 
• Expert in the use of Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma (or similar) tools. 
• Experience in product experience in an agile environment. 
• Prior product development experience with physical products preferred. 
• Familiarity with the swimming pool construction and service industry or prior experience with construction trades is a plus, but not essential. 
• Prior experience with home automation, industrial automation, or related preferred, but not essential. 
• Preferably from a Product company 
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies. 
• Strong Leadership skills to motivate and manage the team. 
• Experience with multinational teams is desirable. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
