Role Summary We’re seeking a UI/UX Intern who can translate complex social-impact narratives into intuitive, accessible digital experiences. You will support end-to-end design delivery across websites, landing pages, microsites, dashboards, and campaign assets—anchored in design fundamentals yet future-facing in experimentation. Key Responsibilities Discovery & Research: Assist in interviews, surveys, and heuristic reviews; benchmark NGOs and category leaders. Experience Design: Co-create IA, user flows, journey maps, and low- and low→high-fidelity wireframes for web and mobile; support usability testing and synthesis. Interface & Visual Design: Produce pixel-accurate UI aligned to brand (typography, colour, iconography); design responsive layouts for LadliFoundation.org, LadliUSA.org, Africa chapter pages, SocialInternship.org, and campaign microsites. Prototyping & Handoff: Build interactive prototypes (Figma); deliver developer-ready specs, redlines, and assets; partner with engineering/No-Code for QA. Candidate Profile (Must-Haves) Pursuing/recent degree in Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or related field. Working proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, design systems) + basics of Illustrator/Photoshop (or similar). Strong grasp of layout, typography, spacing, contrast, hierarchy. Portfolio (academic/freelance) showcasing user flows, wireframes, and UI craft. Clear communication, ownership mindset, and on-time delivery in a mission-centric environment. Nice-to-Have Exposure to Webflow, WordPress/Elementor, or basic HTML/CSS. Familiarity with WCAG, Material/atomic design systems.
