UI/UX Designer (with Front-End Development Skills)

About the Role

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer with strong front-end development skills to join our growing product team. This role is design-led (70%), with a focus on crafting intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centric design, skilled in interaction and visual design, and comfortable translating ideas into functional front-end components when required.

Key Responsibilities

    Lead the creation of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas. Collaborate with product managers and developers to define user problems and deliver thoughtful design solutions. Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize insights into design improvements. Design accessible, intuitive interfaces that follow UX best practices and align with brand guidelines. Develop and maintain scalable design systems and UI libraries in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools. Contribute to front-end development (30%) by translating designs into HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React components, ensuring responsiveness and performance. Partner closely with engineers to ensure design fidelity, feasibility, and smooth handoff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

    5–8 years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing interaction, visual, and user experience design. Proficiency in design/prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent. Solid understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and human-centered design. Experience in user research, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design decisions. Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript, with the ability to translate designs into front-end code when needed. Familiarity with component-based design systems and design tokens.
