UFT Automation Test Engineer.

UFT Test Engineer with 6+ years of experience is a senior-level role responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and scripts using Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), formerly known as HP QTP. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to ensure high-quality software delivery in complex enterprise environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in test automation with UFT/QTP.

Technical Proficiency:

UFT/QTP: Expert-level knowledge of UFT, including descriptive programming, object identification, and object repository management.

Scripting: Mastery of VBScript for developing complex functions, handling data manipulation, and building logical test flows.

Frameworks: Extensive experience in designing and implementing different automation frameworks, such as Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.

Test Management: Strong experience with Micro Focus ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) or similar tools for managing test cycles, requirements traceability, and defect tracking.

Database: Proficient in SQL for performing back-end database validation and data integrity testing.

Methodologies: Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
