Commercial Truck Insurance Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and qualify leads through calls, emails, referrals, and digital channels.
• Understand client needs and recommend suitable insurance products such as Auto Liability, Cargo, Physical Damage, General Liability, Workers Comp, and other commercial trucking coverages.
• Prepare and present insurance quotes, proposals, and policy details clearly and professionally.
• Guide clients through the application, underwriting, and binding process.
• Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers for renewals and cross-selling opportunities.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the company.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and sales activities in the system.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in

  commercial insurance sales

  , preferably in trucking or transportation.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA requirements, trucking permits, filings, and insurance terminology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
• Insurance license (Property & Casualty) preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with trucking businesses, owner-operators, and fleet companies.
• Knowledge of commercial auto underwriting guidelines
