Underwriter Commercial Trucking

As a Policy Binding Specialist / Underwriter with experience in U.S. commercial trucking insurance, your role involves evaluating risks, binding policies, and supporting underwriting decisions for a portfolio of trucking and transportation clients across the United States. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review and evaluate insurance applications and supporting documentation for U.S. trucking risks. - Bind insurance policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and carrier authority. - Ensure accuracy and completeness of policy documentation and system entries. - Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to obtain necessary information and clarify underwriting requirements. - Collaborate with senior underwriters and internal teams to support risk selection and pricing strategies. - Maintain compliance with state regulations and company standards for commercial auto coverage. - Monitor policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. **Qualifications:** - 2+ years of experience in commercial auto or trucking insurance underwriting or policy binding. - Strong understanding of U.S. transportation insurance regulations and market practices. - Ability to assess risk and apply underwriting judgment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Proficiency with insurance systems and software platforms. - Licensed in property & casualty insurance (preferred but not required).
