Role Overview

This position plays a key role in supporting the treasury function by managing bank interactions, overseeing loan and trade finance structures, and ensuring seamless execution of treasury strategies. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and back-office teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance in treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities

Bank Coordination & Trade Finance

• Coordinate trade facility drawdowns in collaboration with Operations, Business, Central Treasury, and Finance teams.
• Liaise with banks for facility documentation, renewals, and transitions between unsecured and secured structures.
• Ensure all trade finance transactions comply with documentary and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in covenant compliance and maintain strong working relationships with financial institutions.

Treasury Operations

• Collaborate with the back office to manage daily liquidity requirements.
• Ensure accurate recognition and accounting of trade finance facilities in financial statements.
• Monitor debt schedules and support initiatives related to refinancing and capital structure optimization.
• Track and manage cash balances, ensuring funds are efficiently invested (deposits, mutual funds, etc.) or repatriated as necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Business Controllers, Operations) for data gathering, documentation, and reporting.
• Support treasury meetings and contribute to funding decisions with consolidated data insights.

Systems & Process Optimization

• Assist in the implementation and optimization of Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba) and banking structures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to drive operational efficiency within the treasury function.

Qualifications & Experience

• 710 years of experience in treasury operations, with strong exposure to trade finance and banking relationships.
• Proven experience in managing loan structures, liquidity operations, and financial compliance.
• Strong understanding of trade finance instruments and corporate treasury functions.
• Proficient in ERP and TMS platforms (e.g., Kyriba) as well as core banking systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute operational responsibilities effectively.
