The Travel Consultant will assist clients with their travel requirements — from planning and booking to post-travel support. The role involves understanding customer needs, suggesting suitable travel options, managing bookings, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for clients.

The role involves understanding client requirements, suggesting suitable travel options, managing bookings, and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research destinations, routes, and travel options including air, rail, and accommodation.
  • Understand client requirements and suggest suitable itineraries or travel packages.
  • Manage complete booking processes – tickets, hotels, transfers, and other travel services.
  • Provide clients with travel-related information such as visa requirements, weather, and local customs.
  • Maintain accurate client records and booking documentation.
  • Handle amendments, cancellations, and travel-related issues efficiently.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain related financial documentation.
  • Use promotional tools and marketing material to promote travel packages and offers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and service partners.
  • Work towards achieving monthly sales and profitability targets.
  • Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and system updates.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a travel agency environment.
  • Good knowledge of booking systems (GDS/CRS/e-travel portals).
  • Strong communication and sales skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Proficient in English (additional languages will be an advantage).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected travel issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
