Customer Service: Assist customers in booking International air tickets, providing information on flight options, schedules, fares, and restrictions. Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to reservations, cancellations, changes, and refunds. 2. Booking and Reservations: Utilize booking systems (e.g., GDS systems like Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport) to search for flights, make reservations, and issue tickets. Ensure accuracy in booking details and adhere to airline and agency policies and procedures. 3. Knowledge and expertise: Stay updated on airline policies, regulations, and industry trends related to International air travel to and from, USA. Provide advice on travel options, including alternative routes, stopovers, and travel times. 4. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers through various channels (phone and email) to understand their travel needs and preferences. Build rapport with customers to enhance their overall experience and encourage repeat business. 5. Problem-Solving: Handle customer complaints and disputes professionally, striving to find satisfactory resolutions. Assist travelers with unexpected issues such as flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections. 6. Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks related to ticketing, including issuing tickets, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. Manage changes to reservations and ensure that customers receive updated travel itineraries. 7. Sales and upselling: Promote additional services such as travel insurance, car rentals, and hotel accommodations to enhance the customer's travel experience. Meet sales targets and contribute to the profitability of the agency through effective selling techniques. Qualifications: Education: a diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in travel and tourism is a plus. Experience: Proven experience as a travel agent or in a related customer service role; familiarity with International air travel is preferred. Skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in using computerized reservation and ticketing systems (GDS); ability to multitask and work under pressure. Knowledge: understanding of airline ticketing rules, fare structures, and travel regulations; knowledge of destinations, airports, and travel routes.
