Transportation Coordinator

As a Transport Coordinator at Rawalwasia Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd., your role involves overseeing the purchase order process for transport services. You will be responsible for implementing automated systems to streamline purchasing, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transport solutions. Your collaboration with the technology team for system upgrades and enhancements will be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Issue purchase orders to transporters based on received quotes. - Develop and implement automated systems for transport purchase management. - Monitor and update sheets to track transporter quotes and allocations. - Review and finalize transporter quotes upon completion of the bidding process. - Coordinate with the technology team for system upgrades and improvements. - Ensure all purchase orders are processed through the automated system without direct Coordination with the Transport Relationship Assistant Manager (TRAM). - Efficiently issue and manage transport purchase orders. - Accurate and timely updates to transport quote sheets. - Effective collaboration with the technology team for system enhancements. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly G-Suite. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or transport industry. - Experience with automated systems and software development processes is advantageous. - Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management. - Understanding of route planning and optimization techniques. - Awareness of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols. - Basic understanding of financial principles related to transportation costs and budgeting. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Coordination and scheduling of transportation activities. - Negotiation skills for vendor management and contract agreements. - Data analysis and reporting capabilities. - Time management and ability to work under pressure. - Attention to detail.
