Transport Management Configuration Lead

About the Role

As a MATM Configuration Lead, you will be responsible for leading the configuration and deployment of Manhattan Active Transportation Management (MATM) solutions. This role demands deep expertise in transportation planning, execution, and optimization processes, combined with system configuration skills to deliver client-ready MATM solutions. You will guide teams through implementation, ensuring that configurations align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Configuration Leadership & Delivery

• Configure MATM modules including carrier management, load planning, routing, tendering, and freight settlement.
• Translate transportation business requirements into MATM system configurations.
• Lead the preparation of configuration documentation, workbooks, and solution designs.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend best practices for transportation processes.

Team Management & Collaboration

• Lead a team of MATM configuration specialists, guiding them on tasks and quality standards.
• Collaborate with WMS, ERP, and integration teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
• Support testing teams with configuration validation and issue resolution.

Client Engagement

• Facilitate client workshops for transportation configuration requirements.
• Provide training sessions and create end-user documentation.
• Act as the go-to expert for MATM configurations during project lifecycles.

Transportation Operations & System Configuration Expertise

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of supply chain/transportation systems experience, with at least 3+ years in Manhattan Active TM.
• Strong expertise in MATM configuration including routing, load planning, carrier setups, and freight audit.
• Knowledge of transportation operations and optimization best practices.
• Familiarity with integrations between MATM, WMS, and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manhattan Active TM Product Certification.
• Consulting background with exposure to multiple industries.
• Agile/Scrum project experience.
