Transport In-charge

Job Description:

We are looking for a Transport Incharge to manage and oversee the entire hospital transport operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient, staff, and material movements efficiently while ensuring safety, punctuality, and proper vehicle maintenance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of hospital vehicles (ambulances, staff transport, and logistics vehicles).
• Schedule and coordinate vehicle movements for patient transfers, staff pickup/drop, and hospital logistics.
• Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained, serviced on time, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate transport records (trip sheets, fuel usage, maintenance logs, driver duty rosters).
• Supervise and monitor drivers for punctuality, discipline, and adherence to hospital policies.
• Handle emergency patient transport requirements promptly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for vehicle repairs and inspections.
• Monitor fuel consumption and control transport-related expenses.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all hospital vehicles.
• Prepare transport-related reports and submit them to the Administration/HR department.
• Liaise with external vendors, ambulance services, and government authorities when required.

• Knowledge of hospital logistics and ambulance protocols
• Basic vehicle maintenance awareness
• Excellent communication and time management
• Computer knowledge (MS Excel / transport management software preferred)

Qualification & Experience:

• Any Graduate / Diploma holder
• 15 years of experience in hospital or corporate transport management
• Experience in handling ambulance operations is an added advantage

Salary: Based on experience and interview performance
