Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Executive (Data Entry) to manage and maintain all logistical and transport-related data within our systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, specifically within the logistics or transportation industry, and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role is crucial for the smooth operation and record-keeping of our transport activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry and Management:
• Accurately and efficiently input and update daily transport data, including shipment details, vehicle logs, driver schedules, delivery confirmations, and expense records into the Transport Management System (TMS) and internal databases.
• Process and manage digital and physical documents such as Bills of Lading (BOL), load confirmation statements, freight invoices, and delivery challans.
• Ensure all data entry aligns with defined quality standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Data Integrity and Auditing:
• Perform routine checks and audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of transportation data, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with the Operations and Logistics teams to reconcile data inconsistencies and gather missing information.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key transport metrics, such as vehicle utilization, on-time delivery rates, and cost per shipment, using MS Excel and other reporting tools.
• Maintain an organized and secure system for all digital and physical transport documentation for easy retrieval and auditing.
• Administrative Support:
• Assist the Transport Manager with general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and managing communications related to data and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in data entry, back-office operations, or an administrative role within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain sector is mandatory.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a degree or certification in Logistics, Data Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expert-level proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is highly desirable.
• Excellent typing speed and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail (Image of a data entry operator working on a computer screen displaying a logistics dashboard).
• Core Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle large volumes of data under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., drivers, vendors).
• A high degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Compensation

• Salary: Up to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and interview performance.
