Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Monitor and report on seafarer training programs organized by external and internal stakeholders to support & achieve business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with the main training service providers used by the Company.• Select, and assign (under guidance from the Manager) instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study courses, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training.• Organize and maintain training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational material.• Monitor and record seafarers performance across the fleet used to identify training needs by coordinating with the Marine people Team, Fleet, and Marine Operations.• Assist the Training Manager in identifying the various data points (promotion, availability, recruitment) to prioritize and anticipate the need from crewing operations correctly.• Ensures feedback on training is gathered, analysed, and actioned.• Management of all matters related to training, including generate reports and analytic data Responsible for organizing internal training.• Develop and implement structured training programs covering fleet and vessel operations, safety, quality, maritime regulations, commercial skills, digitalization, sustainability, and leadership.• Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify workforce competency gaps and propose relevant learning interventions.• Customize and deliver training workshops, presentations, and e-learning modules for diverse staff populations, including seafarers and shore-based employees.• Evaluate training effectiveness via assessments, feedback, and follow-up coaching, ensuring continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.• Maintain accurate training records and report training outcomes to department heads and management.• Ensure all training programs meet statutory and company-specific competence requirements, including STCW and in-house guidelines for safe and efficient operations.• Contribute to career path planning and support talent progression, including sea-to-shore transitions and management associate programs.• Liaise with government agencies, training providers, and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of the latest industry trends and standards.• Champion a culture of lifelong learning and workforce upskilling in line with Companys maritime talent development initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Career Level: Executive
  • Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Maritime Studies or equivalent
    Years of Experience:
  • Candidates with sailing experience as Junior officers onboard tankers.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
