Job Description

Provide first-level technical support via service desk to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring network activity, analyzing security events, and following incident response protocols under guidance.

Assist in maintaining IT systems, including updates, configurations, and troubleshooting across operating systems, servers, and applications.

Participate in compliance audits, document procedures, and ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

Gain proficiency in using security tools for threat detection and mitigation while implementing and managing security controls.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating active listening, empathy, and technical proficiency both verbally and in writing.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior members, on IT infrastructure, security projects, and DevOps initiatives.

Learn and apply best practices in IT security, system administration, and traffic management, including cloud services and High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.

Resolve service desk tickets efficiently, escalate issues as needed, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Participate in training sessions on cybersecurity, IT systems, and scripting/programming (e.g., Python) for automation.

Contribute to system reliability initiatives and operational improvements while staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Be flexible to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges in IT and security domains.
