Gracias Granny, a vibrant Mexican Cafe, with three outlets, is looking for several Trainee Chefs to work in our kitchens at all our locations accross Mumbai: Santacruz West, Chembur, and CBD Belapur. This is equivalent to a Commis 2 or Commis 3 role in traditional kitchens.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Trainee Chef based in Mumbai. Trainee Chefs are responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in cooking, maintaining hygiene standards, following recipes, and learning culinary skills from our experienced chefs. They will also help with inventory management and kitchen organization and any other duties as seen fit by management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Stamina to work long hours in heat standing on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for culinary arts and innovation
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus
• Experience as a Commis 2 is a plus
• Freshers are welcome
