Tour Manager

As a Tour Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of group and individual tours across multiple states including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Karnataka. Your primary focus will be ensuring seamless customer experiences, managing on-ground operations, and maintaining high client satisfaction through effective communication and logistics handling. In the Pre-Tour Coordination phase, you will collaborate with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budgets. Your responsibilities will include creating and finalizing tour itineraries, accommodations, and travel plans. Additionally, you will work closely with vendors, hotels, transport providers, and local guides in each state to ensure all bookings, permits, and documentation are completed on time. During the on-tour phase, you will either accompany and lead group tours or coordinate with local representatives. It will be your duty to resolve on-ground issues such as hotel check-ins and transport delays, manage group safety, comfort, and engagement, and act as the main point of contact between clients and local service providers. Post-tour, you will collect feedback from customers for quality improvement, report incidents, complaints, or suggestions to the management, and provide tour reports and expense documentation. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, or Business, and have at least 2 years of experience in tour operations, travel sales, or destination management. Strong communication skills in English and at least one regional language (Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, or Hindi) are essential, along with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel frequently and stay on-site as needed, as well as familiarity with travel software, will be advantageous. Preferred qualities include knowledge of local cultures, tourist attractions, and travel norms in the assigned states, a positive attitude, customer-first mindset, crisis management skills, and the ability to manage group dynamics while maintaining professional decorum.
