Over the last few years, the educational programs of NIVE have impacted more than 20,000 children. Role Overview: The Tour Manager plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering meaningful educational travel experiences for students, educators, and school groups. This position involves designing well-curated itineraries, liaising with partners and vendors, ensuring safety and smooth execution, and accompanying groups on select tours. The ideal candidate is passionate about travel and learning, has strong organizational skills, and enjoys working with people—especially young learners. Key Responsibilities: Program Planning & Development Research and explore new destinations relevant to educational and value-based learning themes (heritage, nature, science, environment, service, etc.). Conceptualize, design, and develop itineraries aligned with the organization’s educational goals and school needs. Draft detailed proposals and budgets for management and client approval. Work with internal teams to ensure all itineraries integrate learning objectives and experiential outcomes. Vendor & Partner Coordination Identify, liaise, and maintain relationships with trusted vendors , including accommodation providers, transporters, guides, and local partners. Ensure all vendors comply with safety and quality standards suitable for school groups. Coordinate logistics, permissions, and documentation for smooth tour execution. Tour Execution & Leadership Oversee pre-departure arrangements including communication with schools, participants, and parents. Accompany tours whenever required , ensuring participant engagement, discipline, and safety throughout the journey. Supervise logistics, resolve issues on the ground, and represent the organization professionally at all times. Conduct post-tour feedback sessions and prepare detailed reports for improvement. Lead Management & Communication Follow up on leads from schools and digital marketing campaigns, providing detailed information and converting interest into confirmed bookings. Coordinate with the marketing and content teams to provide destination insights, images, and feedback for promotional materials. Present itineraries and educational travel concepts to school management and coordinators when required. Administration & Reporting Maintain updated databases of vendors, destinations, and school contacts. Ensure accurate record-keeping of itineraries, budgets, and participant details. Prepare financial summaries and settlement reports post-tour. Skills & Competencies Required: Strong passion for travel, education, and experiential learning . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with teachers, students, and partners. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and tight schedules efficiently. Leadership and crisis-handling abilities during tours. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace ; familiarity with CRM tools preferred. Educational Qualification & Experience: Graduate or Postgraduate in Travel & Tourism / Education / Humanities / Management / Environmental Studies . 2–5 years of experience in school travel, educational programs, or tour operations preferred. Fresh graduates with strong interest and aptitude for educational travel may also apply. Personal Attributes: Responsible, empathetic, and student-friendly.
