Job Description

As a Mold Maker at our company, your role involves reading blueprints, using CAD programs, and creating new tooling for molds based on design specifications. You will be responsible for setting up equipment, ensuring its appropriateness, and liaising with vendors for CNC milling, wire cutting, heat treatment, and cylindrical grinding. Operating machines such as EDM, surface grinding, and DRO milling will also be part of your duties. Maintenance and repair of existing tooling, analyzing mold malfunctions, and disassembling tooling for cleaning and repairs are crucial tasks. Additionally, you will create prototype products, fixtures, and jigs to assess mold effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Read blueprints, use CAD programs, and create new tooling for molds - Set up and ensure equipment appropriateness - Coordinate with vendors for CNC milling, wire cutting, heat treatment, and cylindrical grinding - Operate machines like EDM, surface grinding, and DRO milling - Maintain and repair existing tooling and molds - Analyze and correct mold malfunctions - Disassemble mold tooling for cleaning and repairs - Create prototype products, fixtures, and jigs for mold effectiveness assessment Qualifications Required: - Diploma in Tool and Die / Engineering/NTTF/GTTC - Minimum 4+ years" experience in mold making or mold maintenance - Proficiency in computer numerically controlled machine tools and precision measurement devices - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Good active learning, time management, communication, and organizational skills - Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Proficiency in Kannada/Tamil/English preferred,
